Also lucky that I made it just in time for Noah's 2 mile event at Millard West. He did great - setting new meet record for the Freshman only race at Millard West.
Nice ride up Mo-Pac trail then across Platte river and up hwy 31 to Millard. Only bummer mostly NW wind once I came off the trail at Wabash and started heading due North.
Nothing compared to what the Trans Iowa folks faced though...Congrats to all Lincoln finishers.
End of the line of the Mo-Pac at Wabash. The continuation is been an issue of much debate. I can understand both sides of the story...on the one hand...how cool will it be to have a continuous trail to Omaha? On the other, how much will it be used? The section of trail between Elmwood and Wabash is a bit rough from un-use right now. Pretty sweet 4 wheeler track going right now past Elmwood on both sides of the Mo-Pac. Looked like fun.

Second Flat...Changed along Platte River. Not a bad stop.
Zee Platte River Bridge...pretty cool if you haven't gotten across it yet. The path was majorly messed up from trucks on the North side. Looks like they were doing tree work and drove on really soft trail...hopefully they'll fix that before Market to Market relay this fall.

After the meet we made it over the the Mid Towne Trek store. Thanks Bryan R., Jay Thomas and Matt T for putting up with me...
Bronco's burgers before heading back to Lincoln. So good. I miss the old Sam's in Lincoln. 4 burgers and a family fry deal was what the Dr ordered after knocking back a few too many the night before and before heading out on a long Saturday ride with the group...Ah the good old days.
