Sometimes the Strongest guy doesn't win. That's the theme from Paris Roubaix this last weekend. And that's what I've always loved about bike racing.
Bike racing takes some strategy and a little luck to pull off a win. Johan Van Summeren proved this true with his last 15k solo to victory. Fabian Cancellara appeared to be the strongest guy out there, but bad timing and other opportunists conspired against him in his bid for another Paris Roubaix win. Both guys come out smelling like a Rose on this one. A seemingly good guy wins and the favorite is a gracious loser.
Let's hear it for the underdog!
