Wilderness needed a little Love and we got it last night with a fresh dusting of snow. Nice and fluffy, felt like floating on a nice cushion of air. Helped clean up all the fallen leaves and sticks on the trail and covered up some of those foot prints...When we (Group of 10) left it was Beautiful double track....Will it be tomorrow? It's gonna get fast the next day or two as the snow sets up...
Darin busting the move through the last creek bottom to be skied. Now you can do the full loop from Old Cheney to 14th without taking off the skis at all. Usually because we have a couple really rough creek crossing you don't get that luxury and have to hike them...but the snow is deep enough now you can cruise right through them. For those that don't know...Wilderness Park is a forested flat bottom park running along a creek that flows through town. Its used mostly used as flood control...but also holds the best single track Lincoln has to offer during bike season.
It also seems to work really well for X country skiing.
